We currently have an opening for a Materials Associate / Inventory Clerk for Industrial Physics in our New Albany, Indiana location.
JOB SUMMARY:
Our materials team is seeking a Materials Associate /Inventory Clerk to perform inventory counts in accordance with established standards and processes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Inventory cycle counts.
- Ensure that any defects found during the cycle counting process are identified and segregated.
- Data input/retrieval from 123Insight ERP system (will be trained).
- Ability to Cross train in multiple areas of materials for workflow knowledge in Receiving, Shipping, Work Orders, Kitting etc.
- Work with team members to collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives relating to materials inventory.
- Ensure that all equipment used is maintained in accordance with company protocols
- Perform additional duties beyond the scope of work upon request.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Must be organized and maintain a clean, safe work area.
- Basic knowledge of standard inventory functions.
- Basic demonstrated knowledge of computers.
- Good attention to detail and demonstrated accuracy.
- Be a team player, ready and willing to assist others.
- Participate in LEAN activities to improve efficiency and standard work practices.
- Also be able to read and understand receiving and work order paperwork,
- Participate in problem-solving and improvement teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. at a time.
- Must be flexible and available for overtime where necessary.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
• High School or High School equivalent diploma required.
• A minimum of 3-years prior manufacturing work experience
