POSITION: IT Graduate Student Advisor

DEPARTMENT: Information Technology

REPORTS TO: Assistant Director of Technical Administration

HOURS NEEDED PER WEEK: 20

HOURLY RATE (OR RANGE): $18.00

DATES OF EMPLOYMENT (APPROXIMATE): September 2025 - May 2026

JOB COMPONENTS//PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Operate and troubleshoot Audio Visual equipment in classrooms, meeting areas and public spaces
  2. Support of network-based printing systems
  3. Utilize inventory management software to update records and manage inventory levels
  4. Set up and troubleshooting of equipment and user software problems
  5. Use of a computer-based equipment scheduling system
  6. Communication in a customer service role
  7. Performs other duties as requested, delegated or assigned


JOB REQUIRMENTS:
  • Must be enrolled in a graduate program
  • Must work 10 - 20 hours a week
BASIC COMPETENCIES: (Required knowledge, skills, abilities)
  • Basic Audio Visual and/or Computer Hardware Understanding
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • Ability to understand instructions both written and verbal
  • Experience in customer service
