We are looking for a dedicated Tier 3 Service Desk/System Administrator to support the OSINT Integration Center as part of our 10-year DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP) contract.

In this role, you will primarily focus on Linux and Windows systems administration, maintenance, performance optimization, and user support services. You will collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure effective operations, cybersecurity compliance, and quality assurance. Your responsibilities may include technical software configuration, system rebooting, and remedial actions for customer systems. This position requires on-site work at our client location in Bethesda, MD during standard business hours, with rotational service desk coverage from 6am to 6pm.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Strong commitment to DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Administer both Linux and Windows servers, handling installations, configurations, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with DISA STIG across all systems and networks.
• Create server builds for both virtual and physical environments.
• Manage integration tools, including Kubernetes, Rancher, and Helm.
• Develop automation scripts for infrastructure tasks using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Design and support a scalable and redundant infrastructure in both physical and virtual environments.
• Utilize configuration management tools like Salt and Ansible for automation.
• Set up administrator and service accounts while maintaining documentation and system performance.
• Collaborate with teams to improve infrastructure with best technology practices.
• Provide effective customer support to maintain strong relationships.
• Manage user accounts, including creation, resets, and terminations.
• Work with the ServiceDesk team to ensure full coverage during working hours.

To excel in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's Degree with 4-8 years of relevant experience or a Master's Degree with 2+ years of experience.
• A minimum of 4 years of professional relevant experience.
• An active Top Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Experience in system integration testing throughout the development lifecycle.
• Proficiency in Agile project management and security requirements.
• Excellent documentation skills for audits and corrective actions.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• The ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
• Expertise in Linux systems administration, particularly RHEL/CentOS and Ubuntu.
• Experience with patching (yum and APT repositories), server builds, and cloud operations.

Preferable skills include:

• Experience with Kubernetes/Rancher, Cloudera, and other data engineering tools.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, and IaC tools such as AWS CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python3, and PowerShell.
• Experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Docker, and GitLab.
• Familiarity with ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
• Understanding of Windows Systems Administration and Active Directory troubleshooting.
• Experience managing large computer endpoint environments and maintaining AI/ML setups.
• Experience working in air-gapped environments.

Location: Bethesda, MD

Pay Range: $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
