Family Centered Services (FCS) Family Support Specialist (Full-Time)
Family Access Center is seeking a Family Centered Services (FCS) Family Support Specialist (FSS) to join our team supporting and empowering individuals to overcome life's challenges by providing quality services in Woodbury and surrounding counties Ida, Crawford and Monona.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or an associate of arts degree in human services or related field plus two years of full-time experience in human services or related field.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide in-home intervention to children and their families utilizing skill-based, evidence-based practices to help families implement solutions to problems and strengthen families.
- Act as a resource, provider & advocate families to promote child welfare.
- Provide evidence-based interventions and case management support under contractual responsibilities.
- Utilize collaborative documentation.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with community partners including DHHS, medical providers, "parent partners," lawyers, therapists, law enforcement staff, school officials, neighbors, fictive kin, emotional supports, and referral sources.
- Provides evidence-based practices to families and individuals associated with the family, utilizing Solution-Based Casework, SafeCare, Child Safety Conferences, Motivational Interviewing, SFM & YTDM meetings.
- Maintain an appropriate level of direct contact with families per program requirements and remain available to families 24/7 for crisis intervention as needed.
- Ensure professionalism through role modeling, and respect.
- Utilize own vehicle to travel to work destinations and transport youth as authorized, provide services in the community, or in the primary home of the child and family.
- Report and document emergencies and critical incidents involving family members or staff.
- Participate actively in individual, group, and organizational supervisions/trainings.
- Applicant must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of community resources and service providers in the service area.
- This position is full-time and requires scheduling flexibility with the ability to work evenings and weekends, as necessary to meet contractual obligations.

Salary: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Education:
- Associate (Required)
- Child &/or Family Welfare: 2 years (Preferred)
Work Location: Hybrid (Woodbury, Ida, Crawford, and Monona)
