Our company has been developing and manufacturing advanced surgical technologies for over 35 years and has earned a strong reputation for excellence in the healthcare field. Our unique business model, combined with our dedication to delivering the highest quality products, enables team members to contribute in a larger capacity than is possible in typical positions.

Position Description

Are you a talented User Experience/User Interface (UX/UI) Designer with a passion for creating impactful design solutions? We're looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic team. This is your opportunity to contribute to the design strategy, collaborate with a team of designers, and play a key role in the future of our company's internal applications.

At Applied Medical, we are focused on designing vertically integrated enterprise applications that streamline our internal processes, support our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and drive innovation in our fully custom web and native applications. Our goal is to deliver standardized, information-rich user interfaces that enhance efficiency, improve user experiences, and align seamlessly with our business objectives.

As a UX/UI Designer, you will play a vital role in shaping the design strategy and vision for our interfaces. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting user research, usability testing, and user interviews to gather valuable insights and validate design decisions.
  • Creating wireframes, interactive prototypes, and visually appealing design mockups using industry-standard tools like Figma.
  • Working closely with stakeholders to understand business goals and translate them into user-centered design solutions.
  • Promoting the use of design thinking methodologies and best practices within the organization.
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of design systems, style guides, and UI pattern libraries to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Collaborating with team members to plan and manage design projects effectively.
Position Requirements

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • More than two years of experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, including Front-end, Back-end, Business Analysts, Project Management, and Application Architects.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and workflow tools such as Visio or LucidChart, as well as other relevant software.
  • A solid understanding of UX/UI design principles, methodologies, and best practices, particularly in the context of mobile design.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to tackle complex design challenges.
  • Familiarity with HyperText Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and web development principles, including mobile-responsive design, to facilitate seamless design-to-development handoffs.
  • Experience working within Agile methodologies, adapting designs to evolving project requirements.
  • The ability to manage multiple design projects concurrently while maintaining a high standard of quality.
This role offers more than just a job - it's an opportunity to contribute to the future of design within our organization. As a UX/UI Designer at Applied Medical, you will be a valuable part of our team, working on projects that make a real impact. If you're excited about pushing boundaries, fostering innovation, and collaborating within a team environment, we'd love to hear from you.
