Clinical Nurse II: Adult Emergency Department

Join our dynamic Emergency Department team as a Clinical Nurse II, where you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care during night shifts. This position offers a competitive salary range of $83,200.00 - $93,184.00 for 36 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and document care according to established protocols.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to effectively assess patients' conditions.
- Evaluate patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment in decision-making.
- Deliver primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
- Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with nursing colleagues to develop and maintain comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
- Provide direction and guidance to ancillary staff while upholding professional nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license required.
- Current BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC certification must be obtained and maintained.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of nursing experience in an Emergency Department, preferably in a large academic, Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center.
- Commitment to continuous education and professional development.
- Understanding of quality improvement principles and the ability to apply them in patient care settings.
