BayCare's Madonna Ptak Morton Plant Rehabilitation Center , a 5-star CMS-rated facility, is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) to join our interdisciplinary rehab team. The PTA will assist in delivering high-quality physical therapy services to patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury in a post-acute inpatient setting.

Physical Therapy Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist to improve patients' mobility, strength, and functional independence.

  • Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and use of assistive devices under PT supervision.

  • Monitor patient progress and communicate observations to the supervising Physical Therapist.

  • Document treatments and patient responses in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.

  • Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and techniques to support continued recovery.

  • Collaborate with nursing staff and other rehab professionals to ensure coordinated care.

  • Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment, adhering to infection control protocols.

Requirements :

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

  • PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant)

  • Or PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant) Temporary and licensure within 6 months

  • Required Associate's Physical Therapy

  • Preferred 1 year Physical Therapy Assistant

Status: Full Time, Exempt: No

Shift Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m./Days

Weekend Work: Every Other
