An employer in the Cincinnati, Ohio area is looking for an SDET for a remote, contract opportunity. The client is a large retailer and the tester has an exciting opportunity to join at the infancy of the client's AI-enabled shopping experience. We are seeking an experienced Mobile-focused SDET to design and implement manual and automated tests for Android and iOS applications. This role ensures the quality and reliability of mobile experiences that integrate LLMpowered features, real-time communication, and agentic shopping workflows. You will collaborate with designers, developers, and product teams to deliver robust test automation across mobile platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain automated tests for Android (Kotlin/Jetpack Compose) and iOS (Swift/SwiftUI).
• Design and execute functional, integration, and end-to-end tests for mobile apps, including LLM-driven features and real-time communication (WebSocket).
• Implement UI automation using tools like XCUITest, and Espresso.
• Build mock services and test harnesses for orchestration layer APIs.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure testability and maintain high coverage.

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of experience in mobile test automation for Android and iOS.
• Strong programming skills in Kotlin, and Swift for test scripting.
• Experience with Espresso, and XCUITest for mobile automation.
• Familiarity with LLM integration testing and AI-driven workflows.
• Knowledge of real-time communication testing (WebSocket, MQTT).
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and mobile architecture patterns.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with Firebase and Crashlytics.
• Background in e-commerce platforms or agentic shopping experiences.
• Knowledge of exploratory and security testing for mobile applications.
