Description
We are looking for an experienced System Administrator to manage and enhance our IT infrastructure, particularly in a DoD environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in enterprise solutions and Windows Server, basic networking, securing enterprise environments, and Active Directory management, along with proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Suite.
Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory and Group Policy management.

Manage and optimize VMware and Nutanix virtualization technologies.
-
Implement and maintain system security protocols in accordance with DoD standards.
-
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
-
Perform system patching and updates to ensure compliance and security.
-
Document system configurations, procedures, and security policies.
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system functionality and security.
-
Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in system administration.
Qualifications
Requirements:
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 5 years or more experience; Masters and 3 years (or equivalent work experience).

Active Secret clearance.
-
Security + Certification is required.
-
Server Certification (Azure, Linux System Administration Fundamentals, Microsoft certified: Fundamentals or equivalent, Nutanix Certified, VMware Certified).
-
Proven experience as a System Administrator in a DoD or similarly regulated environment.
-
Strong experience with VMware and virtualization technologies.
-
Strong experience with Windows Server administration.
-
In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and system security best practices.
-
Experience managing Active Directory, Group Policies, and user permissions.
-
Proficiency in Windows Server administration and management.
-
Familiarity with Microsoft Suite for project collaboration.
-
Experience with system patching and update management.
-
Understanding of DoD compliance requirements and security standards.
Certifications (optional but preferred):
-
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
-
VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Nutanix.
-
Security X or CISSP.
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
