Certifications: BLS

Must-Have: Pediatric experience preferred

Description:
Ambulatory Patient Care Technician position available.
Working hours are Monday through Thursday from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
Friday shifts are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Must work every other Saturday.
Preferred experience includes charge experience.
Charting system experience is required, specifically with Cerner.
Candidates should be familiar with abnormal and normal vital sign parameters for both adults and pediatrics.
Key responsibilities include cleaning equipment, donning and removing personal protective equipment (PPE), and performing finger sticks and glucometer tests.
Candidates will be responsible for isolation precautions and labeling and transporting specimens.
Obtaining vital signs, performing CPR, phlebotomy, pulse oximetry, stool specimen collection, and urine collection are also essential tasks.
The unit supports pediatric patients and involves interdisciplinary collaboration.
It is essential that candidates comply with all facility policies and procedures.
Weekend coverage is required with specific patient ratios outlined.
Adherence to non-smoking policies is mandatory.
Candidates must not have any license or background hits.
