Join Sherwin-Williams in our Management & Sales Training Program, an exciting entry-level opportunity designed to fast-track you toward a Store Management role within 18-24 months. With our promote-from-within philosophy, you'll have the chance to step into an Assistant Store Manager position after successfully completing our initial 8-week training.
This role typically requires a commitment of 44 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends.
Throughout the program, you will work alongside store management to lead a million-dollar business. You will gain crucial insights into operating, client relations, and internal strategies, providing you with the knowledge needed to contribute significantly to your team's success. You'll focus on expanding our market share by engaging with large commercial clients, such as painting contractors, purchasing agents, and manufacturers, who require bulk quantities of our premium products.

As part of your responsibilities, you will:
- Complete program training in accordance with established guidelines.
- Support business strategies focused on increasing sales and optimizing profitability.
- Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction through outstanding service.
- Build and maintain in-depth knowledge of our products for effective customer recommendations.
- Foster positive relationships with wholesale and retail clients.
- Manage store administration tasks efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with company policies regarding safety, loss prevention, and security.
- Maintain superior store conditions and visual merchandising standards.
- Assist in training, developing, and managing employee performance.
- Proactively address and resolve customer and employee complaints.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to conduct outside sales calls aimed at increasing market share.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country without needing future sponsorship.
- Must hold a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
- Must obtain a bachelor's degree by the start of the program.
- Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and up to 70 lbs occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in a retail, sales, or customer service role.
- Experience in a leadership position, supervising others or leading teams.
- A background in team-oriented settings through work, extracurricular activities, or military service.
- Familiarity with selling paint or paint-related products is a plus.
- Experience using timekeeping or customer relationship management systems.
- Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities.
- Ability to communicate fluently in more than one language, especially Spanish.
