Agile Facilitator/Deputy Project Manager
As an Agile Facilitator/Deputy Project Manager, you will play a crucial role as a servant leader and Agile facilitator for GEOMAP product teams. Your mission is to ensure adherence to Agile principles while delivering exceptional software releases that align with Air Force objectives. Additionally, you will provide essential backup support to the Project Manager Lead and assist in various program management activities.
*This position is contingent upon contract award.*
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to enhance team collaboration and productivity.
- Support multiple Scrum teams in delivering product increments with zero defects at deployment, ensuring high quality and reliability.
- Work closely with Product Owners and government stakeholders to maintain and prioritize the product backlog effectively.
- Monitor team velocity, identify impediments, and implement process improvements for continuous enhancement.
- Assist in program management activities such as schedule tracking, risk management, and reporting on project status.
- Ensure alignment with the Air Force Agile Strategy Plan and adherence to DevSecOps practices.
- Encourage a culture of transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement throughout the teams.
- Coordinate with technical leads, testers, and help desk teams to ensure readiness for software releases.
Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):
- Active Secret clearance is required.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent certification.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Agile software delivery, with at least 3 years serving as a Scrum Master.
- Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, program management, and risk tracking is essential.
- Strong leadership, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills are a must.
- Experience with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.
