At Monroe Clinic Hospital, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care to our respiratory therapy patients. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Pulmonary Care Specialist to deliver vital therapeutic services and make a positive impact on our community.

Position Overview:

The Pulmonary Care Specialist will evaluate and manage the respiratory care needs of patients. Responsibilities include administering prescribed therapies and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans tailored to patients' diagnoses.
  • Deliver respiratory care services as per physician orders and established guidelines.
  • Monitor and adjust patient care plans and equipment, maintaining clear communication about patient conditions.
  • Utilize advanced respiratory care modalities and evaluate treatment efficacy.
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding health conditions and available support resources.
  • Assist in the maintenance and calibration of respiratory equipment and manage supply inventory.
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and rapid response situations.
  • Maintain a safe and alert working environment.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Education Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or relevant combination of education and experience.

Experience Requirements:

  • No previous experience is required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent communication, standing, walking, and lifting of objects up to 25 lbs.
  • Visual, auditory, and olfactory abilities necessary for patient assessment and safety monitoring.
  • Occasional physical tasks, including lifting patients and moving equipment.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • State licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the applicable state.

Work Schedule:

This position requires a variable shift that accommodates hospital needs.
