About the PositionTravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Correctional RN in Buena Vista, Colorado, 81211
Shift: 10 Hours, 08:00pm-06:00am Description: The Correctional Health Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to incarcerated individuals within a correctional facility. This role includes performing comprehensive health assessments to determine patient needs. The RN administers treatments and medications according to established clinical guidelines and provider orders. The RN responds promptly and effectively to medical emergencies within the facility. The RN coordinates care with multidisciplinary healthcare team members to support continuity of care. The RN ensures adherence to clinical standards, legal requirements, and security protocols. The RN maintains a safe, humane, and therapeutic environment for all individuals receiving care. The RN supports the physical and mental well-being of patients through evidence-based nursing practice. The RN follows infection control practices and contributes to a clean and safe clinical setting. The RN documents patient assessments, treatments, and responses accurately and clearly. The RN communicates effectively with colleagues and facility personnel to support patient care and safety. The RN provides patient education on health conditions, medications, and preventive care. The RN demonstrates professionalism, sound judgment, and compassion when providing care in a secure environment. Experience: Previous clinical experience preferred License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS required
