Position Overview: As a Certified Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in supporting surgical procedures. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing the operating room by ensuring all surgical equipment and supplies are properly arranged.
- Assisting surgeons during operations, adhering to professional standards.
- Ensuring a clean operating environment by properly routing equipment and materials post-operation.
Shift Details: This position requires weekend, call, and holiday availability.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited surgical technician program.
- Must be certified through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or obtain certification within one year of employment.
- Current CPR and BLS certification, with attendance at annual Validation Day.
- Strong knowledge of various surgical procedures and the ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons.
- Familiarity with surgical equipment and instrumentation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a sterile field and adherence to safety policies.
- Understanding of OR emergency situations and basic patient care practices.
