Your responsibilities as a CDL-A Delivery Driver include:

  • Conducting pre and post-trip inspections on tractor-trailers and completing DOT inspection reports.
  • Verifying the bill of lading and managing store keys for off-hour deliveries.
  • Driving tractor-trailers to their destinations, utilizing knowledge of commercial driving regulations and vehicle maneuvering skills.
  • Maintaining driver logs manually or via Peoplenet, in accordance with DOT regulations, including documenting delivery receipts and product conditions.
  • Successfully unloading the trailer and delivering products to customer premises.
  • Executing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications for CDL-A Drivers:

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A).
  • A minimum of 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
  • Must pass McLane's Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and risk assessment standards.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English at a level adequate to perform job-related tasks effectively, ensuring safety and operational compliance.
