• Location: Staten Island, NY 10310 - Prime New York psychiatry job location with easy city access
• Setting: Outpatient Adult Psychiatry Clinic (brand new facility)
• Position Type: Locum Tenens Physician (Travel/Contract)
• Start Date: November 24, 2025
• End Date: May 23, 2026
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (flexible late days available)
• Shifts per Week: 5
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Patient Volume: 14-16 adult patients per day
• Telepsychiatry: Occasional telehealth available
• EMR: Meditech
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $6,510 - $7,710

Qualifications - Adult Psychiatrist

• Board Certification in Adult Psychiatry (required)
• Active, unrestricted New York State medical license
• Minimum 1 year of experience in adult outpatient psychiatry
• Experience supervising psychiatry residents preferred
• Proficient in managing a broad range of adult psychiatric conditions and diagnoses
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR or willingness to learn

Responsibilities - Outpatient Psychiatry Physician

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment for adult patients in an outpatient setting
• Manage a diverse caseload of adult psychiatric conditions
• Supervise and mentor psychiatry residents, including protected teaching time
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team (nurse practitioners, mental health professionals)
• Utilize telepsychiatry services as needed for patient care continuity
• Document all patient encounters and treatment plans in Meditech EMR
• Participate in emergency credentialing as required
