Position Summary
A CT technologist uses computed tomography (X-ray) equipment to take images of a patient's body from different angles. Their work helps locate internal injuries and diagnose diseases. CT technologists prepare patients for exams by answering their questions and positioning them for minimal radiation exposure. People with good interpersonal skills and a desire to use technology for patient care will thrive in this role.

Essential Functions
-Produces high quality C.T. scans on patients in a timely manner.
-Utilizes appropriate scanning protocols to reduce radiation exposure.
-Timely reports information to the Radiologist.
-Cleans and maintains equipment and prepares necessary reports and maintains all required records.
-Ensures the safety of patients at all times.
-Adheres to and follows all patient experience initiatives.
-On call duties required.
-Reports to and departs from work on time and as scheduled.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
-OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Class I.
-Must be able to deal with stress while maintaining composure.

Education
Degree Level Required: Vocational
-Registered or registry eligible with ARRT, a current Texas License.
-C.T. registry preferred.
-BLS and CPR within 30 days of employment

Work Experience
Required Experience: 1 to 2 years
-One year experience in radiologic technology preferred.
-Training in CT Scanning or Magnetic Resonance Imaging preferred.
-Cross-training may be necessary.
