Customer Service Specialist

Join our dynamic team at Sherwin-Williams as a Customer Service Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to both wholesale and retail customers. You will assess customer needs, answer inquiries about our products, and suggest solutions to enhance customer satisfaction. Being up-to-date with product features and ensuring high-quality visual standards will be part of your role.
In this position, you will handle customer interactions, access various payment methods, and maintain the store's merchandise, making it vital to secure a background check to uphold safety and security standards for our team and customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing outstanding customer service and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Assisting customers in person and over the phone to determine needs and suggest products.
- Building strong relationships with our customers.
- Accurately processing sales transactions while adhering to policies.
- Meeting and striving to exceed sales goals on a regular basis.
- Maintaining organized work order files and formulas.
- Retrieving products from the sales floor or warehouse and tinting/mixing them to customer specifications when necessary.
- Organizing shelves and displays to enhance store presentation.
- Performing regular cleaning of store equipment and assisting with deliveries.
- Keeping assigned areas stocked and presentable.
- Staying informed on product offerings to answer customer queries effectively.
- Following inventory control protocols and suggesting improvements in sales strategies.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 18 years of age.
- Authorized to work in the country of employment without requiring employer sponsorship.
- A valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 70 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
- At least one year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service role.
- Experience selling paint or paint-related products.
- Familiarity with tinting and mixing equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in more than one language, particularly Spanish.
