General Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Electrical Intern to work alongside licensed electricians on residential electrical projects in the Columbus, Ohio area. This internship provides hands-on experience in home electrical systems and is ideal for students or individuals pursuing a career as a residential electrician.

Responsibilities

  • Assist electricians with residential electrical installations, repairs, and upgrades
  • Support wiring of new homes, remodels, and service calls
  • Help install outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, and panels
  • Assist with conduit, cable pulling, and device trimming
  • Troubleshoot basic residential electrical issues under supervision
  • Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
  • Maintain tools, materials, and a clean job site
  • Learn to read and interpret residential electrical layouts and diagrams
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Enrolled in or recently completed an electrical, technical, or trade school program (preferred)
  • Strong interest in residential electrical work
  • Basic understanding of electrical tools and safety practices is a plus
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team
  • Willingness to learn and take direction
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in attics, basements, and outdoor environments
  • Reliable transportation to residential job sites in and around Columbus, OH
