Full-Time Maintenance Technician

POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY

Join our committed team as a Maintenance Technician, dedicated to providing outstanding experiences for our guests and team members. In this role, you will ensure that all property equipment is operational, the premises are immaculate, and that guest rooms are well-maintained. You will complete tasks outlined in the Green Shield Binder and follow management or Regional Asset Manager directives in a timely and professional manner.

MAJOR / KEY JOB DUTIES

• Exemplify a strong commitment to providing exceptional service for guests and associates.
• Work independently while performing essential duties effectively and within company standards.
• Respond diligently to all guest requests, ensuring prompt follow-through in line with our guidelines.
• Maintain pristine premises by completing out-of-room cleaning tasks, which include managing trash and debris as well as ensuring the cleanliness of the building's interior and exterior.
• Perform repairs listed in work orders and follow the outlined work order process for timely resolutions.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repairs, adhering to the procedures defined in the Green Shield Binder.
• Follow the Green Shield Inspection schedule daily to ensure timely completion of all tasks.
• Keep meticulous records as per the Green Shield Binder, tracking deficiencies and inspections.
• Utilize the SOPs as a reference to complete all tasks according to company standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized maintenance room, managing tool inventory and ensuring tools are in good working order.
• Ensure that boiler rooms, electrical rooms, HVAC rooms, and fire sprinkler rooms are clean and organized per company standards.
• Verify that all fire safety equipment is operational and that inspections are current and compliant.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including OSHA and ADA requirements.
• Assume responsibility for maintaining pool and/or spa areas in compliance with company policies and local ordinances.
• Assist with emergency responses at the property or nearby sites as requested by management.
• Monitor and follow up with outside vendors as directed.

OTHER DUTIES

• Assist in cleaning various hotel areas as assigned, contributing to overall cleanliness.
• Support efforts to maintain hotel cleanliness throughout all areas.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & COMPETENCIES

• Proficient in reading and speaking English to interact with guests, associates, and vendors.
• Understand and adhere to safety rules, operating instructions, and company standards.
• Write routine reports and communicate effectively.
• Perform basic arithmetic calculations and apply units of measurement effectively.
• Utilize good judgment in all circumstances.
• Assist in resolving guest issues in alignment with company policies.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Regularly required to stand, move around the hotel, and handle tools and equipment.
• Capable of accessing low areas and working at heights while remaining stable.
• Occasionally push/pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Discern items in guest rooms for safe operation.
• Frequently work outdoors, with occasional exposure to varying weather conditions.
• Occasionally work in wet conditions and near mechanical parts or hazardous materials.
• Typically exposed to moderate to loud noise levels.
• May be asked to travel to assist at other nearby locations as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
