Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Dental Assistant III within the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM).

Under the direction of the Program Coordinator, the Dental Assistant III will support the department by providing clinical assistance for the Department of Periodontics.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

  • Serves as a Dental Assistant to assist faculty and postgraduate students with patient care, including setting up and stocking units daily, maintaining implant and surgical kits, transporting instruments to and from sterilization in accordance with schedule, maintaining a safe and clean working environment by adhering to RSDM infection control policy and departmental protocol, assisting with ordering of supplies as needed, and performing clerical duties as assigned.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Understands and adheres to Rutgers' compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
  • To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • No prior Dental Assistant experience is required.
