We are seeking a Claims Specialist for a New York based Insurance Company. This hybrid position, based in New York City, involves investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and settling claims to ensure fair resolutions. The role requires interaction with policyholders, employees, vendors, and lawyers, and aims to maintain high standards of service quality. The position operates under immediate supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate clearly with clients and follow up as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of client needs and provide proper support.
  • Analyze cases to establish reserves and escalate unique cases.
  • Partner with defense counsel for optimal case outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2-5 years of experience as a claims adjuster, paralegal, Attorney, or related role.
  • Adjuster's license or JD required.
  • Experience handling Professional Liability; General Liability and Medical Malpractice Claims
  • Experience with 3rd Party Claims
  • Strong knowledge of medical malpractice law and excellent interpersonal skills.


Compensation: $122,000 - $150,000
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
