Key Responsibilities

Perform advanced mechanical and maintenance work on vehicles and equipment with minimal supervision.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving equipment.

Conduct thorough preventive maintenance to extend the life of our machines and reduce downtime.

Weld and fabricate as needed to support equipment repair and modification.

Diagnose and maintain specialized equipment, such as industrial ovens.

Accurately read and interpret manuals, schematics, and technical diagrams.

Follow and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a clean and hazard-free work environment.

Document work performed and track recurring issues.

Collaborate with other teams to complete work orders and meet project deadlines.

Support and mentor lower-tier mechanics, guiding them in best practices and technical procedures.

Demonstrate initiative and attention to detail and communicate issues and concerns clearly.
Qualifications
-
Expert-level knowledge in troubleshooting and maintaining PLCs, hydraulics, electrical systems, control panels, pneumatics, and CNC/manual equipment.

Strong welding and fabrication skills.

Ability to prepare, analyze, and present mechanical maintenance reports.

Leadership/mentoring experience coordinating teams or taking charge of maintenance projects.

Comfort with machine shop tools and hands-on mechanical systems

Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
Education and/or Experience

High school diploma/GED
-
Preferred: Technical school certification or completion of apprenticeship

Minimum 5 years of hands on experience in advanced mechanical repair and maintenance

Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role strongly preferred
