The Multi-Domain Solutions Division at Leidos is looking for a talented Network Solutions Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in supporting the Advanced Battle Management System's (ABMS) Digital Infrastructure Network Manager program. You'll be contributing to the Department of the Air Force’s mission to field and operate the foundational digital infrastructure that connects various sensors, data streams, and weapon systems across air, land, sea, cyber, and space domains.

As part of our team, you will enable U.S. forces and allies to analyze a wealth of information swiftly, ensuring they remain one step ahead of adversaries.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive Network Engineering support for network architecture's design, documentation, implementation, maintenance, and operation.
• Collaborate within an engineering team to draft and review change plans for on-premises and cloud networking infrastructures, including switches, routers, firewalls, and cloud networking components.
• Quickly diagnose system issues related to operation and performance, arriving at resolutions independently.
• Serve as a key resource for a hybrid Juniper SDWAN deployment, working confidently within a specialized and technically diverse team.
• Act as an escalation point for the network and security operation center (NSOC) regarding network issues and vendor/client onboarding.
• Work closely with network engineers, system administrators, and application developers to ensure seamless integration of network solutions while briefing stakeholders on progress and challenges.
• Participate in cross-discipline training and mentoring initiatives for fellow engineers.

Basic Qualifications:

• BA/BS or equivalent experience with at least 10 years of relevant experience or MS with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
• Proven experience in configuring, testing, and troubleshooting network systems, particularly in ISP connectivity (DIA and MPLS).
• Strong background in campus/enterprise network design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Deep understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 network technologies and protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, STP, ARP, DHCP, DNS, etc.), along with a moderate knowledge of service provider technology.
• Experience with network automation methodologies and tools (Ansible, scripting, coding).
• Proficient troubleshooting skills, particularly in fault isolation and resolution.
• Hands-on experience with network documentation and diagramming tools (Draw io, Visio).
• A strong team player who is also self-driven to tackle assignments and continuously improve proficiency in processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong collaboration capabilities.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
• Must acquire and maintain an active DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient with Juniper SDWAN.
• Possession of Juniper or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP EI) certification.
• Strong expertise in network automation.
• Familiarity with general Linux administration.
• Experience with various virtualization technologies (VMWare, Proxmox, KVM, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of ITIL Change & Configuration Management.
• IAT Level III certification.

The pay range for this position is $89,700.00 - $162,150.00.
