Job Description

The Regional Consultant (Internal Wholesaler), in partnership with a Regional Director, will be responsible for sales, support, and service of our IBD partners in their assigned region associated with Brookfield Oaktree Wealth Management Solutions. The products will include open-end alternative investment funds and traditional mutual funds. The Regional Consultant is responsible for supporting major markets and directly managing secondary markets within their Region with a client-centric, sales- driven approach to the marketplace. The Regional Consultant's performance is measured by gross fund flows, assets under management, sales activities, client expansion and retention, and broader team contribution to the National sales effort.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Regional Director (External Wholesaler) to develop and execute on business plans.
  • Cultivate and deepen relationships with IBDs through high-quality, pro-active interactions.
  • Handle daily territory management tasks to ensure business efficacy and effective prioritization of resources.
  • Provide exceptional client service, addressing technical, product, and competitive positioning inquiries with expertise and efficiency.
  • Ability to articulate Brookfield Oaktree Wealth Solutions' sophisticated products.
  • Actively manage and progress the team's pipeline, meticulously tracking new opportunities; utilize the CRM system to log all client activity.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience in the financial services industry, or as an internal sales associate; alternative investment experience preferred.
  • Independent Broker Dealer (IBD) channel experience is highly preferred.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 or 66 license required.
  • CAIA, MBA, CFA a plus.
  • Highly proactive and resourceful self-starter, demonstrating a strong work ethic and a focus on achieving results.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative and will thrive in a team-focused environment.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a high level of accountability.
  • Motivated to achieve success and grow with the firm.
Travel:
  • The position is NYC based and minimal travel is required.


Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000

Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations.
