About The Position
- Position Description
- Full-time Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neonatologist
- Practice in a Level-IV, 30-bed NICU with an average daily census of 24
- Attend deliveries and provide 24/7 in-house coverage, with support from 3 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs) primarily covering 12-hour shifts in the newborn nursery
- Manage care for approximately 3,000 annual births, including 470 NICU admissions and 1,226 newborn nursery admissions
- Option to cover at a nearby Level-II NICU
- Participate in teaching for medical students and residents from WVU School of Medicine and West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine
- Opportunity for Clinical Associate Professor appointment with WVU School of Medicine's Charleston Division
- Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists in over 30 specialties including Pulmonary, Surgery, Neurology, Nephrology, Infectious Disease, Hematology-Oncology, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, and Cardiology
- Open to new graduates and J1 visa candidates

Job Requirements
- Requirements
- Board Eligible (within 5 years) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine - REQUIRED
- West Virginia medical license (or willingness to obtain) - REQUIRED
- DEA registration prior to start - REQUIRED
- 3+ years of experience in a busy Level-III/IV NICU - PREFERRED
