Job Description: As a Building Engineer with HVAC experience, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our commercial properties in Greenwood Village, CO. You will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the repair, maintenance, and optimization of building systems, with a focus on HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on HVAC systems, including troubleshooting, repairs, and replacements of components as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of building systems to identify and address any issues or potential problems.
- Respond promptly to tenant requests and address any maintenance issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Monitor building automation systems and adjust settings as necessary to optimize energy efficiency and comfort levels.
- Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or maintenance projects.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and service contracts.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards in the operation and maintenance of building systems.
- Assist with the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs to prolong the life of equipment and reduce downtime.
- Participate in emergency response procedures and provide support during building emergencies or incidents.
- Stay informed about new developments and technologies in building systems and HVAC equipment to continuously improve efficiency and performance.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in HVAC systems preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in building maintenance, with a focus on HVAC systems.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including troubleshooting and repair techniques.
- Experience with building automation systems (BAS) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with tenants, vendors, and team members.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
