Racquets Maintenance Technician at Camp Creek Resort

The Racquets Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring that all racquet sports facilities, including tennis and pickleball remain in excellent playing condition and meet the highest standards of safety, aesthetics, and performance. This position requires a detail-oriented, proactive, and hands-on individual who will perform routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks while supporting the overall success of the racquets department. The ideal candidate has knowledge of racquet sports surfaces, equipment, and facility care but is not required.
Job Responsibilities:
• Perform daily grooming, sweeping, and lining of tennis courts.
• Inspect and maintain clay and hard-court surfaces to ensure optimal playability and safety.
• Apply topdressing, water, and other materials as needed for clay court maintenance.
• Schedule and perform resurfacing, rolling, and other court repair tasks as required.
• Maintain nets, posts, windscreens, benches, and other court amenities in excellent condition.
• Monitor inventory levels for court maintenance supplies and submit requests for replenishment.
• Preventive Maintenance & Safety
• Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and address potential hazards or damage.
• Ensure all courts and racquet facilities comply with safety and quality standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of sprinkler, valves, pumps and control panels to identify leaks, blockages or malfunctions.
• Respond promptly to maintenance work orders and member concerns.
• Work closely with the Racquets Director, Tennis Pros, and Facilities team to align on scheduling and maintenance priorities.
• Support racquets events by preparing courts and assisting with setup/takedown when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with management about facility needs, timelines, and project status.
• Assist with landscaping around racquet facilities, including trimming, blowing debris, and aesthetic upkeep.
• Help ensure club grounds present a professional and welcoming appearance at all times.
Education and Experience:
• Previous experience in racquet sports facility or grounds maintenance preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of clay and hard-court maintenance techniques and equipment.
• Basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repair skills.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment such as rollers, blowers, and power washers.
• Technical experience in plumbing and irrigation operation.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Sufficient education and literacy are necessary to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests.
• Customer service experience is necessary. All technicians must be able and willing to interact with guests.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Detail-oriented and thorough.
- Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests.
- Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards.
- Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant, friendly way.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Possess strong plumbing knowledge.
- Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
