Speech Language Pathologist

New York

As a dedicated and experienced Speech Language Pathologist to join an acute care team at community centered organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in evaluating and treating patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders, with a particular focus on performing and interpreting Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS). This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive inpatient care, developing individualized treatment plans, educating patients and their families, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Current New York state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience in an acute care setting, with proficiency in performing MBSS.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
