Position Summary:

The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) is an essential member of the healthcare team, dedicated to providing compassionate and effective patient care. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the PCA delivers specific care services to patients, ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily activities and personal care for patients.
  • Support nursing staff by carrying out delegated tasks accurately.
  • Maintain patient comfort and safety at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent, plus one of the following:
  • Non-licensed graduate of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) program;
  • Enrollment in an approved RN program with completion of at least one medical surgical clinical rotation;
  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant.
