JOB SUMMARY
• utomation Tester on the UXL Platform team. This role is part of the team focused on building our next-generation UXL platform using GraphQL technology. Appropriate candidates have a passion for GraphQL and emerging technologies, a vision for testing next-generation capabilities, and a strong drive for success.
• In this role, the Automation Tester will be a testing expert and lead test engineer for the UXL Platform team. The Automation Tester is responsible for delivering large, high-impact initiatives, projects, and enhancements and supporting the UXL platform. This position is expected to work with the QE Manager, Engineering team, Service Provider team, and others to define and deliver the testing strategy, plan, and lead end-end testing activities.
• This role will be responsible to execute test cases to support both automated and manual testing initiatives, bring new automation ideas to life, optimize test executions, and shorten testing cycles in a fast-paced development environment.
• The Automation Tester assumes technical ownership of Service Provider deliverables and leads their technical resources to ensure high quality, compliance with our technical standards and best practices, and performance at scale.
• In addition, the Automation Tester will research emerging technologies that will provide future capabilities and seek solutions for complex technical issues.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related field OR equivalent total years of experience or certification
• Overall 8+ years of experience in Test Automation, QA, or IT operations using open source and enterprise testing technologies.
• 4+ years of experience in creating test strategies, test plans, and test cases in the API testing area.
• Experience in development of API/GraphQL automation framework from scratch.
• Practical experience and use of API/GraphQL testing tools like Postman, ReadyAPI, RestAssured, Karate or similar tools.
• Experience in GraphQL using Apollo client and server.
• Experience to configuring and creating pipelines using Jenkins, Harness, or similar tools.
• Experience in service virtualization using WireMock, ReadyAPI, or similar tools.
• Experience in usage of Performance tools like NeoLoad, LoadRunner, K6, or similar tools.
• Experience in BDD using Gherkin, Cucumber.
• Developer experience in javascript / typescript / Node js
• Practical experience and use of tools like Jira, Confluence, Service Now, in an Agile development environment
• Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver results under challenging conditions, particularly when faced with complexity, ambiguity, and execution in an Agile development model.
• bility to work in a fast-paced, Agile/Scrum engineering environment delivering incremental software with high quality.
• Must possess critical thinking and analytical skills in addition to great interpersonal and communication skills.
• Define and deliver automation strategy, next generation automation technologies and roadmaps.
• Experience in AWS technologies preferred.
• SAFe Agile experience is a plus.
