Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Location : Farmington Hills, MI

Duration: 12+ months contract

Onsite / Hybrid work model

Looking only for w2 candidates

Required Skills:
Minimum 8+ Years of experience is required
  • Experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
  • Hands-on experience in DevOps.
  • Understanding of SDLC (e.g. development, configuration, deployment, testing, configuration, deployment, monitoring etc.).
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies and application technologies.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of System Administration (configurations, installations, patch management, server maintenance, etc.) and Network Management (firewalls, proxies, IP management, routing, DNS).
  • Demonstrated experience establishing, using and supporting integration and communication protocols between applications, databases, and technology platforms.
  • Automation of infrastructure delivery with configuration orchestration and management solutions (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Terraform)
  • understanding of coding practices and developing in a preferred scripting language (e.g. PowerShell, Python, UNIX Shell Scripting)
  • Experience with Operating System hardening practices as well as methodologies for templating deployments from a set of standardized images
  • Experience with Linux and Windows systems engineering principles
  • Enterprise-wide implementation of backup and recovery solutions to deliver data resiliency
  • Familiarity with application server (e.g. JBoss EAP, Tomcat) and middleware solutions (e.g. ActiveMQ, IBM MQ, Kafka)
  • supporting the migration of applications to public cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud Platform or Azure) and / or the securing of public cloud providers for application service delivery
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems or its equivalent with relevant experience.
