Associate Medical Director of US Evidence Generation

Overview
We are seeking a strategic and scientifically driven Associate Medical Director of USEvidence Generationtofocus onthe development and execution of USreal world evidence(RWE)strategies that support the value proposition ofAlnylam'sproductsacross the ATTR franchise. This US-centric role will collaborate cross-functionally to generate impactful evidence that informs clinical practice anddemonstratescontinued value to US HCPs/KOLs,payersandhealthsystems. AsaUSevidence generationleader,the candidate willpartner with theValue EvidenceStrategy team(VESt)toprovidemedicalleadership for strategic projects under their direct responsibility. They will alsosupportthe planning and execution of RWE projects conducted by external vendors.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
RWE Strategy Development:
- Participate instrategic planning bysupportingthedevelopment and refinement of the USRWEstrategicplan, ensuring alignment with broader Medical Affairs and cross-functional objectives
- Identify and prioritize strategic US evidence gaps in close collaboration with cross functional team that includes Medical, Market Access, US Commercial Sales and Marketing
- Partner with the US Medical field teams to assess and map RWE generation opportunities and capabilities across KOLs, payers and health systems
- Maintain a US KOL database of HCPs and health systems with interest and insights into ATTR evidence generation
- Support data-driven refinement of the US RWE strategic plan, content and messages through analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to knowledge, attitudes and practices of US stakeholders through advisory boards, field insight generation and feedback from professional medical associations
Study Design & Execution:
In coordination with theVESt,lead, design, and deliver RWE analyses while serving asa clinicalsubject matter experttoensurescientific integrity of conducted RWE research
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Ensurecoordination among matrixed teams including Medical Affairs, Commercial, Publications, Materials Review Boards, Compliance, and external partnerstoincorporateRWE findings intopublications and field materials
- Participate in the development of abstracts, manuscripts, and presentations for scientific congresses and peer-reviewed journals
External Engagement:
Lead vendor selection and collaborate with external experts, academic institutions, and data vendors to execute high-quality RWE studies
Data Governance & Compliance:
Ensure all RWE activitiescomply withrelevantAlnylam SOPs,US regulatory, legal, and ethical standards, including data privacy and local guidelines
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD) with strong preference for candidates with experience in cardiologyand/orRWE generation
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical affairs within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, including experience in field medical roles, strategy development and evidence generation
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong scientific acumen, ability to function autonomously, and succinctly communicate with cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience managing budgets and external partnerships related to RWE projects
- Experience supporting both product launches and lifecycle management with RWE
- Entrepreneurial spirit and resourcefulness
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to travel as needed to fulfill job responsibilities

U.S. Pay Range
$190,200.00 - $257,400.00
The pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus or sales incentive) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).
