About the Role:

  • This role requires evening shift work with a possibility of 8 or 10-hour shifts, including on-call responsibilities.
  • You will assist in maintaining a sterile environment, prepare materials and instruments for surgical procedures, and work closely with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient care.

The position is located at: Aurora St Lukes Medical Center - 2900 W Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surgical areas using aseptic techniques, ensuring a clean and efficient space.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
  • Transport patients and manage equipment in the operating room.
  • Perform basic patient positioning and transportation duties.
  • Maintain specialty carts and ensure equipment is sterile and functioning properly.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • No prior experience is necessary - we welcome recent graduates

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry weights as necessary and perform in a high-stress environment.
  • Must have functional sight and hearing and be able to wear protective equipment as required.
