Job Title: Operations Security Specialist

Position Summary:
The Operations Security Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and integrity of multiple facilities through proactive site audits, incident prevention, vendor coordination, and hands-on security operations. This role requires an independent, self-motivated professional capable of working with limited supervision while managing security processes across several locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections to assess security posture, identify vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Manage relationships with security vendors, including guard services, technology providers, and emergency response partners.
  • Oversee or support security operations across multiple sites, ensuring consistent performance and incident response.
  • Administer and troubleshoot access control systems, including badge creation, system updates, permissions, and entry management.
  • Maintain or contribute to badging programs, visitor management processes, and credential issuance.
  • Work closely with internal teams such as Operations, HR, Safety, and Facilities to ensure unified security practices.
  • Provide incident reporting, documentation, and follow-through, ensuring proper escalation and corrective action.
  • Support guard management responsibilities; prior supervisory or guard-force oversight is a strong plus.
  • Assist in policy development, training, and continuous improvement for security procedures and protocols.
  • Drive accountability and enforce adherence to established security standards and operational expectations.
Qualifications:
  • 5-10 years of experience in security operations, corporate security, physical security, or a related field.
  • College degree not required; relevant work experience strongly valued.
  • Experience conducting site inspections, audits, and compliance evaluations.
  • Strong familiarity with access control systems and physical security technologies.
  • Prior experience supervising teams, guards, or security personnel is a plus.
  • Ability to operate independently with limited supervision; strong decision-making ability.
  • Military background is a plus.
  • Experience with badging systems, visitor management, and identity access processes.
  • Experience in the automotive industry or manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Strong communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple locations and priorities.
Additional Information
  • This position requires the employee to be onsite full-time.
  • A person applying for this position must be available to work full-time, weekends, nights, or an on-call schedule when necessary.
  • As an employee, you will be responsible for retaining a valid driver's license, free from any drug or alcohol-related driving convictions or reckless driving and always remain "insurable" while operating company owned or controlled vehicles.
