Snapshot / Role Overview

We're seeking an HVAC Service Technician in San Diego to maintain and repair commercial HVAC systems for diverse facilities throughout Southern California.

Impact

• Service critical HVAC systems for hospitals, schools, and office buildings

• Prevent equipment failures through thorough preventive maintenance programs

• Deliver responsive emergency repairs that minimize business disruption

• Support energy efficiency goals through system optimization and upgrades

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment and systems

• Diagnose and repair malfunctions in rooftop units, split systems, and packaged equipment

• Service refrigeration systems and maintain proper refrigerant levels

• Replace filters, belts, and other consumable components on scheduled intervals

• Troubleshoot electrical controls and basic automation system interfaces

• Document service activities and communicate findings to customers and supervisors

• Respond to emergency service calls during business hours and on-call rotation

• Maintain company vehicles and ensure proper tool inventory and condition

Requirements

*Must-Haves:*

• 3+ years commercial HVAC service experience

• EPA Section 608 certification for refrigerant handling

• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills and multimeter proficiency

• Valid California driver's license with clean driving record

• Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

• Strong customer service and communication skills

*Nice-to-Haves:*

• HVAC technical school completion or apprenticeship program

• Experience with commercial refrigeration systems

• OSHA 10 certification

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills
