Join Leidos as a Senior Network Software Engineer focused on Operations and Management within our AGUN team. This critical role offers the opportunity to support the U.S. Army's global wide area network and security infrastructure in a highly demanding mission environment.

PROGRAM SUMMARY:
The AGUN program requires expert technical and professional management to facilitate network migration and operations for the U.S. Army. You will play a vital role in resolving service tickets on the AGUN system, implementing validated automated workflows, and providing essential operational support for a global network.

Please note: Working a rotating shift is a requirement for this position.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
An active DoD SECRET security clearance is required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate and maintain secure network solutions for the U.S. Army.
• Support 24x7 AGUN operations and provide updates for the Global Cyber Center (GCC).
• Implement standard policy and configuration changes to the AGUN network.
• Manage and track service tickets in JIRA Service Desk and GCC Service Now.
• Provide situational awareness and status updates regarding ticket resolution.
• Escalate issues through the JIRA Service Desk to higher tier teams as needed.
• Work alongside stakeholders to assess legacy environments and provide tier III support for the Army's global network.
• Identify strategies for network optimization to ensure capacity and performance standards are met.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience or Master's degree with 6+ years of experience. Equivalent additional experience may substitute for educational requirements.
• Active DoD IAT Level II (e.g., Security+) certification prior to starting.
• Experience supporting Cisco SDWAN.
• Familiarity with Software Defined Networking (SDN) concepts.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Red Hat.
• Proficient in network technologies including Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Dell, or AppGate.
• Experience using ServiceNow.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols: LAN, WAN, BGP, TCP/UDP, IPSec, VPN, Routing (L2/L3), and Firewalls.
• Experience with enterprise network management tools like Palo Alto Panorama, Cisco Prime, or Junos Space.
• Working knowledge of protocols such as SFTP, SSH, SCP, SNMP, and NTP.
• A collaborative approach to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certified Cisco Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent.
• Experience in Linux shell scripting.
• Familiarity with GitLab and CI/CD pipeline development.
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
• Background in managing trouble tickets and escalations.
• Experience with NetSecOps technologies such as Ansible, Terraform, and Puppet.
• Knowledge of Network Performance Management tools.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Netflow, Elastic, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Expertise in designing and improving complex enterprise networks.
• Knowledge of U.S. Army network security standards.

Pay Range:
$89,700.00 - $162,150.00
