The Radiology Technologist is a vital member of our healthcare team. You will perform radiological duties following strict regulatory and departmental guidelines. Your role includes conducting radiographic exams as ordered by physicians, ensuring they meet technical standards, and using the ALARA principle to minimize radiation exposure for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately position patients under the X-ray machine, adjust immobilization devices, and provide appropriate radiation protection.
  • Perform essential patient care activities, including EKGs, phlebotomy, and injections.
  • Maintain meticulous records of services provided and manage radiological film files and storage.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards while maintaining equipment and supplies.
  • Assist with other related duties as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with a strong sense of empathy towards patients.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, and administrative staff.
  • Problem-solving mindset focused on providing the best care and achieving team objectives.
  • Strong IT skills, comfortable operating phones, computers, and relevant software.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Ability to remain organized and ensure a steady patient flow in a busy environment.
  • Willingness to travel to cover multiple centers as needed.

Qualifications Needed:

  • Graduated from an accredited program in Radiological Technology or as a Basic X-Ray Machine Operator.
  • Medical Assistant program graduation is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience as an X-ray technologist in healthcare; 2 years preferred.
  • Licensure and/or certification as required by state regulations.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems is a plus.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 90 days of employment.

Compensation:

Pay range: $23.30 - $33.25 per hour.
