Join Our Team as a Temporary Seasonal Sales Associate

As a key member of our sales team, your primary role will be to create an outstanding shopping experience for every customer. At Kirkland's Home, we aim to provide excellent customer service while supporting all aspects of store operations and merchandising in collaboration with management. Our Sales Associates play a critical role in driving sales growth by embracing various responsibilities, including selling, cashiering, replenishing stock, setting up displays, and ensuring store cleanliness.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Delivering exceptional customer service both in-store and online.
  • Engaging proactively with customers and showcasing outstanding selling behaviors.
  • Welcoming every customer enthusiastically while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Identifying customer needs and responding appropriately to their cues.
  • Educating customers on our loyalty programs, current promotions, and product offerings to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Representing our brand by treating all customers and colleagues with respect and professionalism.
  • Meeting or exceeding targets related to company initiatives.
  • Assisting with the efficient receipt and organization of merchandise.
  • Maintaining an orderly and organized sales floor and stockroom.
  • Ensuring proper merchandise presentation, pricing accuracy, and inventory management.
  • Embodying Kirkland's Home Values: Customer Commitment, Caring Culture, Winning Attitude, and Innovative Spirit.
  • Carrying out additional duties as needed.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • Ability to comprehend company manuals and directives.
  • Flexibility to adjust work schedules based on store needs.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Capability to use ladders safely to stock and retrieve products.
  • Endurance to stand and move throughout the store for extended periods.
  • Ability to engage with customers in various formats including in-person, electronically, and over the phone.
  • Strength to handle merchandise weighing 50 pounds or more between the stockroom and sales floor.
  • Proficiency in operating Point of Sale systems, registers, and handheld devices accurately.
