Senior Accounting Assistant

In the role of Senior Accounting Assistant, we'll count on you to:
- Perform accounts payable functions in accordance with HDR's procedures.
- Process vendor invoices and submit to the corporate finance and accounting team.
- Prepare and manage financial aspects of seminars, conferences, and events (both internal and external).
- Assist with the review and approval of employee timesheets in compliance with HDR timekeeping policies and procedures.
- Review and accurately code area Purchase Card transactions in compliance with company guidelines.
- Ensure proper documentation and adherence to current policies, while maintaining the ability to adapt quickly to changes in procedures and policy updates.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding office-related purchases.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office including Word and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling and telephone skills.
- Flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and collaborate with various managers in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Preference given to local candidates.
