Now Hiring: Team Lead Underwriter - E&S Property/GL

Are you an experienced underwriter looking to take your career to the next level? Join a fast-growing specialty MGA in the Southeast US as a Team Lead Underwriter. We are seeking a dynamic underwriter to develop and manage an underwriting team for our client by meeting premium production and profitability goals while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze new and renewal business for exposure, loss experience, and timely payments.
  • Negotiate pricing with retail agents and work with the management team to achieve goals.
  • Mentor and assign work to team members, ensuring efficient workflows and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with claims adjusters and industry partners to resolve issues.
  • Foster strong relationships with agents, brokers, and carrier representatives.
  • Travel to meet with agents/brokers and attend industry events.
  • Contribute to providing exceptional customer service and uphold company standards.
Required Skills:
  • 4+ years of insurance industry experience (preferably E&S Property/GL).
  • Ability to make key decisions regarding carrier placement/appetite.
