Cloud Platform Specialist

CTG is seeking to fill a Cloud Platform Specialist position for our client in Piscataway, NJ.

Duration: 12 months

Duties:

• Implement and support cloud infrastructure across Oracle Cloud, Nutanix Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, and similar platforms.

• Configure and manage VMs, storage, networking, databases, VPCs, load balancers, and cloud storage.

• Monitor infrastructure performance, resolve issues, and maintain HA/DR configurations.

• Apply security controls and ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards.

• Optimize cloud costs through right-sizing and usage monitoring.

• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate and support cloud solutions.

• Support cloud migration efforts and manage Kubernetes clusters.

• Use automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, cloud-native services) to streamline provisioning and deployment.

• Contribute to DevOps workflows and CI/CD processes.

Skills:

• Strong cloud expertise (Oracle, Nutanix, Alibaba).

• Proficiency with Linux, VMware, Kubernetes, networking, storage, and cloud security.

• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD tools.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.

Experience:

• Multi-cloud infrastructure implementation and support.

• Cloud migration experience.

• HA/DR configuration management.

• Prior work with VMs, storage, networking, and database support.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $75,000 to $85,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
