About the Role
We're seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (PRN) to join our Premier Women's OB/GYN practice in Southern Tennessee. In this role, you'll provide both clinical and administrative support to ensure our patients receive exceptional care in a friendly, team-oriented environment.
What You'll Do
- Assist physicians and nurses with patient assessments, exams, and treatments
- Perform basic diagnostic procedures and collect specimens for testing
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to clinical staff
- Maintain exam rooms and medical equipment, ensuring readiness and cleanliness
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and assist with ordering and restocking
- Support the front office with scheduling, registration, and data entry
- Accurately document patient care and maintain medical records
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent - Required
- Graduate of an accredited Certified Medical Assistant program or equivalent - Required
- Active CCMA, CMA, or RMA credential - Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - must be obtained within 60 days of hire
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Calm and professional under pressure; team-player mindset
- Commitment to providing excellent, compassionate patient care
