Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent.
Department: Dental Laboratory.
Shift: Day Shift.
Compensation: $25 - $35 per hour (based on experience).
Overview:
- We are seeking a skilled Removable Dental Lab Technician to join our growing dental laboratory team in Philadelphia.
- This role focuses on the fabrication, repair, and finishing of full and partial dentures, using both traditional and modern techniques.
- The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work that meets the functional and esthetic needs of each patient.
- Fabricate full and partial dentures according to doctor prescriptions, models, and work orders.
- Read and interpret case specifications to determine the most effective approach for each appliance.
- Process acrylic work (waxing, investing, packing/injecting, and finishing).
- Conduct necessary repairs and adjustments to ensure ideal fit and comfort.
- Verify occlusion, articulation, and accuracy using appropriate instruments and articulators.
- Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure efficient workflow and timely case completion.
- Maintain accurate case documentation and ensure proper labeling and tracking within the lab system.
- Keep work area organized, clean, and compliant with lab safety standards.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in removable prosthetics (full and partial dentures).
- Expertise in acrylic processing, denture setup, and finishing techniques.
- Strong manual dexterity, precision, and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret prescriptions, models, and written instructions accurately.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (Exocad, 3Shape, or similar) is a plus.
- CDT certification is preferred but not required.
