Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a part timeConsultation and Liaison AttendingPsychiatrist to the Behavioral Health group at NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx. North Central Bronx Hospitalis a 213-bed community hospital providing quality care in a friendly and setting. This facility provides a range of services, and is known for its outstanding Behavioral Health, Women's Health, Primary Care, Pediatric, Geriatric and Specialty Ambulatory services. North Central Bronx Hospital has a reputation for its devotion to the needs of its patients and has created programs tailored to provided dedicated care to the community it serves. The department of Psychiatry has 3 Adult Inpatient Units, a satellite CPEP, a Psychiatry Consultation Liaison service, a Partial Hospital Program, an Outpatient Department, and an ACT team.The C/L service treats an extremely broad and fascinating spectrum of conditions, reflected by the very diverse ethnic and socioeconomic population that the medical center serves. We provide opportunities for leadership/teaching/learning/research with an ideal mix of academics and clinical service. You will also enjoy a comfortable andcordial work environment. There are opportunities for additional paid sessional work, but there is no mandatory on-call requirement.

Opportunity Details:

• The Consultation and Liaison Psychiatrist will have the responsibility for providing consultations referred by the medical, surgical, pediatric and obstetric services.
• Assesspatientmental health status and diagnosing disorders.
• Providecrisis intervention, as necessary.
• Documentpatient progress, developand implementpatient treatment plans.
• Responsibility for teaching and supervision of psychologists, psychology interns, medical and PA students.
• Participate in ethics meetings, court hearings, and multidisciplinary rounds.
• Participate in activities related to clinical care and documentation of care, performance improvement, regulatory compliance and student education.
• Report to the Chair and/or Vice Chair of the Department.

Qualifications

• Eligible for license in the state of NY.
• ABMS Board Certified or Board eligible.
• Graduated from ACGME or AOA approved training program.
• Completion of an approved Psychiatry residency program.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $160,740* (board eligible); $166,920* (board certified) based on 24-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $304,814** (board eligible) and $311,612** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000***.
• Projected bonus of up to $24,000 (based on previous year's average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
• Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
• Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
