Commercial Loan Specialist

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Commercial Loan Specialist to join our client to support the day-to-day servicing and maintenance of a growing commercial loan portfolio. In this hybrid role based in Wilmington, DE, you will help drive accurate post-closing processing, ensure proper documentation, and provide timely responses to loan-related inquiries. This position plays a key role in keeping commercial lending operations running smoothly through diligent review, research, and issue resolution.
Compensation:
$25-$28/hour
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities of the Commercial Loan Specialist:
- Support post-closing activities by reviewing documents, completing required due diligence, and maintaining accurate loan records.
- Monitor and process monetary transactions, payoffs, wires, and other servicing requests with a high level of accuracy.
- Manage the commercial loan mailbox by assessing inquiries, researching details, and providing informed responses or escalations.
- Conduct routine reconciliations and portfolio maintenance tasks to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify process gaps and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency.
- A background in commercial banking or related lending functions, supported by a degree or comparable experience.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience working within a commercial loan environment.
- Ability to interpret legal and loan documentation and apply compliance expectations appropriately.
- Strong analytical, research, and decision-making skills with the ability to resolve issues promptly.
- Professional communication skills and proficiency in Excel; exposure to nCino is a plus.
