Position Overview:
Join our compassionate team in General Pediatrics, where you'll make a significant impact on the lives of children and their families. We are looking for a dedicated Clinical Nurse II to work a 36-hour/week night shift from 7pm to 7:30am.
Salary Range: $83,200.00 - $93,184.00
Responsibilities:
- Deliver care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, and starting IVs.
- Perform treatments, procedures, and special tests while ensuring proper documentation as per company and regulatory standards.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluate patient needs and responses to care.
- Apply sound nursing judgment in making patient care management decisions.
- Provide immediate and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
- Administer prescribed medications and over-the-counter drugs as per orders.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to devise comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
- Guide and direct ancillary personnel while upholding the standards of professional nursing practice.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).
- Current New York State Registered Nurse license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
- Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of quality principles and problem-solving techniques, with the ability to apply them in patient care.
