As a Surgical Technologist I specializing in General Surgery, you will play a vital role in ensuring that safe and efficient surgical procedures are conducted.

Location: Aurora St Lukes Medical Center, 2900 W Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215

Position Details:

  • Shift: 2nd - Full-time (40 hours per week)
  • Pay Range: $26.10 - $39.15 per hour
  • Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 eligible with distance-based relocation available; plus an additional $2,000 for PM shifts.

Your Role: As a Surgical Technologist I, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing the operating room for surgical procedures while ensuring all materials, supplies, and equipment are ready.
  • Utilizing aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment.
  • Assisting surgical teams during procedures by anticipating needs and passing instruments.
  • Maintaining clean and organized operating room conditions.
  • Transporting patients, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Participating as a Second Assistant when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • No prior experience necessary; we welcome new graduates

Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of surgical techniques and equipment.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and transport patients and equipment safely.
  • Capable of managing a fast-paced work environment.
  • Must be able to wear protective equipment such as masks, gloves, and goggles.
