Job Description
  • The Sr PO is responsible for defining and refining features or user stories and prioritizing the Agile Team backlog ensuring the backlog contains 2 iterations worth of 'ready' work for Dev team. These two functions are critical to enabling Dev teams to improve and maintain high velocity / productivity in iteration (sprint) execution.
  • The Sr PO also has a significant role in quality control and is responsible to accept stories as done, ensuring the acceptance criteria has been met.
  • The Sr PO works with Product Management, who is responsible for the Product (Program) Backlog, to prepare for the Program Increment (PI) Planning meeting (Big Room Planning).
  • The Sr PO coordinates with other POs to align backlogs to complete large, cross-functional initiatives.
  • The Sr PO mentors other Product Owners to ensure they are growing in their career and job acumen.
  • Any familiarity/experience with (Samson), Northstar or Tax domain is a big plus.)
